I had an 98 excel... Went through several SPL stereo's before rebuilding it for SQ and picking up a couple of awards...

Ended up with coil overs and a chiptorque turbo kit which were both taken off and sold when the car and I parted ways.. I always wanted to do a 4G63 conversion and in a way wish I had kept this car

Was a little weapon and could give a stock wrx a good run which always raised a few eyebrows.. as did the BOV The polo is a lot like the excels but much better put together and finished

Please don't compare the Polo to an Excel. Not many know a Polo is quick. Everyone knows an Excel sucks.

Hrmm... First car was an AE82 Corolla. Sedan. Auto. Acceleration of a house brick, but once you got the momentum up it was a fun car. Handled OK.

But my real love is in the old Minis.

2004 Toyota Echo 1.3L auto - it is now my mum's car. Was seriously considering putting in some suspension mods but decided the car wasn't worth the hassle.

I share that love.....how I wish I had not allowed my (now ex) wife to badger me into selling my MkII Cooper S. No matter how frustrating a car they were, there was something very special about them.

    Cheers

my wife (then g/f) wanted to buy her first car (back in '82). We saw a brilliant Cooper S for $4k and she almost bought it, except here clever dad (accountant!!) talked her into buying a safe and reliable corolla instead
