so think about if you want to lose a bit of pull at the start for the look your after
correct me if im wrong but that would only be if he went larger then a 35 profile

and or if the wheel tyre package was heavier then stock.

go the 18's. they look unreal and the ride is really not that bad. they make the car stand out in traffic.

here is a side by side comparison pic.

first pic is with the winter rims on for fitting snow chains.
second pic is with the 18's on.

remember.... 18 is the new 17...

not a really good comparison to a Polo as A4's have a much bigger wheel arch and can fit much larger wheels under.

fair call. I was more trying to illustrate the comparative look, but I take your point.

i agree. i personally think even 17s look awkward UNLESS the car is lowered as well.

Hi guys, firstly a big thanks for everyone's fair opinions. I'm still wondering if I should go to larger wheels or not cause I like the take up acceleration on the car currently and don;t really want to sacrifice that. Secondly, I suppose I really don't mind the look of the stock wheels and prefer the ride comfort at the moment. Thirdly, I wouldn't know what to do with the stock wheels cause I don't have much space at home and quite frankly, I don't think the wheels would be easy to offload and sell due to its specific offset. Lastly, I just revisited the tyre place to see if its gonna fit on the polo and GOD DAMMIT!!! the damn thing won't fit due to the offset!!! *Sigh* So depressed right now cause been dreaming about how pretty it was gonna look on my trusty steed.

from my opinion, i wouldnt put 18s. too heavy for the car, unless you get lightweight rims. You might get better grip. so if you're after Aesthetic & style then 18s probably the best size for you IMO. I would definitely put 17s on my polo.
