Why do you need to change your timing belt at 105k km's my Servicing Schedule indicates you should renew Toothed belt and toothed belt tensioner for camshaft drive at 120k km's for Polo. Other than that it should be a normal 15 000 km service?

I think you may need to read your service schedule again...

My stealership did it for 3 hours labour ($300) and I provided the parts which I bought from the UK and brought over. Totalled about $500 until one of the parts was 'faulty' which it wasn't, they had done the service wrong and I had to buy all of the parts over again so the entire service cost about $2000. I wouldn't go to VW just because it's a major service because chances are you'll have someone who knows absolutely nothing about VAG cars working on it.

The fault was with the water pump which they weren't replacing.

    It's 105,000klms or 7 years.

Tear the service schedule out of the book, and throw it in the bin. It's useless and does not apply to Australian-delivered VWs.

I just wanted to say, I've spoken to James from AudVolks twice now, customer service is excellent. Certainly refreshing compared to VW Dealers.
