#1. I hit a pole dead center. From the fromt doors aft it is perfect,not so for the front.Is it possable to put a front on a back? #2 is a control unit,and most engine parts for a 07 TDI useable on a 09 pacfic? I want to keep my crunched 07 for parts and upgrade to a 09.By the way I was very impressed that my wife stepped out with not much more than cracked ribs and a few stitches in her leg.(She actually hit the pole)well, she was driving the Polo, when it hit the pole.Any help?

From what I've seen, you'd have no problems swapping parts between '07 and '09 TDi's except maybe the ring gear and pinion if you wanted to mix and match differential parts (dunno why you'd ever want to do this) as they changed the size of these at some stage and it's not exactly clear when the changeover took place.
As for putting a good front to join on to your good rear, I'd ask a good panel shop but I'm betting it wouldn't be worthwhile (sourcing a front, getting the work done, engineer's certificate for the roadworthy...) so I'd use the '07 for spares or see if the existing front end can actually be fixed. If you do get another, you will find the Pacific a nice upgrade from the ordinary TDi.
Glad to hear the '07 looked after your wife to its very end.

I was optimistic I could get it back on the road from the the first glance as it looked perfect from the back, all doors perfect fit still.But after second look,NO way. And I should elaborate, the absorbing technology,kept the cockpit looking un-touched.I'll post photos when I can.
The Pacific gets a badge , leather covered steering wheel, 15" alloys wheels, rear speakers (some 5 door Polos didn't have them - not sure about the TDi) and a trip computer. It doesn't sound like much but it makes the car that bit nicer and more convenient, especially the trip computer - I use the fuel consumption modes all the time.
On second thoughts, you may want to check about the ECU due to the trip computer

I assume the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners went off. Must have been a sold hit to break some ribs.
