    0 - 100kph times

Hi guys and girls, this is my first post here and its been great reading everyones ideas.
so heres one that im a little confused on!!!
My car has done 1500Ks so far so i thought i would G-Tech it and see what id come up with and i got
0-100kph at 30 degrees outside tempature of 7.14sec
then at 23.5 degrees i got 7.02sec and i really think i can beat this but not by much.
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE FACTORY IS ON ABOUT AT 8.2sec AND THIS IS EVEN IN THERE WINTER. IM CONFUSED

It's a better idea for car companies to quote times that are slower then what the car can do, then to make it out to be faster then it really is.

Hope your enjoying the car, what spec is it?

Is that 0 - 100 Km on the cars speedo you were timing from ? They are usualy slightly under ? Would a tank full of fuel make much difference ?

Thats a good point, 100km/h is about 95km/h on my GPS. I've been told GPS is more accurate.

i had a gps unit in my polo and the speed it was saying was exactly the same as my speedo. Also did a 0-100 test and i got 7.38s (was with a stop watch )

My GPS reads 94 at an indicated 100 -- this pretty well matches up with the odo against those 5km checks
