    0-100 KMH Figures

    Hi All,

was just wondering what figures u all are pushing out? std or modded pls shed some light.

intrested on upgrading in the months to come, donno if i should start with hardware or software first, i feel its best to do software last so you dont keep on going back for a tune-up after each hardware upgrade

VW quoted standard is 7.2 seconds ... chipped/modded may get get you under 6.0 (there's some dispute about that though).

Quoted stock Polo is actually 8.2 secs but I reckon they have totally underestimated that figure in my opinion.

In APR chipped mode people have been claiming low 6secs and without having timed it myself I'd believe it thats for sure.

I have the Polo Gti brochure and it claims 8.2 seconds 0-100km/h.

I have a Motor magazine that says a stock Polo did 7.8 seconds.

My Polo Gti with APR V1, 2.5 inch dump pipe, 2.5 inch rear muffler, FMIC SEATintake and panel air filter will do high 5's 0-100km/h, I reckon a very low 14 second pass over the quarter mile. Needs ight weather conditions..

Ive timed it myself at 6.19 seconds a few times but without an optimal launch. High 5's definately achievable

my little sister (very light) was in the car one night on the mwy and just using a stopwatch i got ~6.3 and ~6.2 (and another about 6.7, thanks to gravel on the side of the road = wheelspin ). i did this on a colder night quite a few months ago.
so, in the same conditions, maybe a little bit less with just myself in the car. also, i now have a seat intake and panel filter which makes the car feel a bit quicker. maybe aiming in the range of 6-6.2 on a cool night.

I'd say these figures are around spot on for a std polo gti.
