yea...my main initiative is to go after power. what sort of gains would you expect if i go elsewhere? and on the idea of a garrett turbo
i wish i could fork out a few thousand more. but after theres just one more mod im after to complete my project. that is a lowering kit
Cheers anyway.

Sound very expensive to me for what you get at the end of it really much along the lines of what noone said. Take a trip to ATP TURBO - The Premiere Provider of Turbocharging Components (Hmm WTF nice linkback don't blame me for the blurb in blue)most of their gear will fit the 1.8 RHD motors, You could also save the money on the ridiculously overpricedcauseweareinAustralia exhaust unless you absolutely have to have it and spend it on injectors and a proper remap. You've have a lot more than a measly 168 or whatever at the engine. Sell the K03 to fund your Ebay or TurboXS plumb-back diverter valve/BOV
Ahh i left out the intercooler. The APR one is the go I think but its not cheap. Its does add up I guess

hi robihe. yes my forge fmic came to about $1080 including delivery and everything. i asked them to separate delivery and item costs to evade the imports costs over 1000 dollars. i think getting the fmic this way and installing it yourself is the best way to go. (forge provides very good instructions for installation)
dude..... evolve technik FOR SURE! we've all seen what THEY can make a polo do [i.e. render a supercharged VE SS obsolete around a racetrack!].
not to mention the tuned wrx, evo X and others, if i recall correctly from the tuner shootout?
but yes. evolve technik. i'd go with them for sure [also because as much as i love my off-the-shelf tune where my company of choice read my original map and made tweaks to it just like all the ''name brand'' tuners, you cant beat a proper dyno tune. it'd be like comparing apples and rockymelons].
I think you should do what you want to do.
I guess what I'm trying to get at is you can get 150kw for about a thousand. for the extra <20kw you are paying another 3.5k.
If you went for a Garrett, you'd be looking around 300kw. I'd be expecting to pay around 8k for the work, maybe Evo can quote the kit for you.
Either way, the power is stupid without working on the suspension, so maybe start with a chip and get the suspension sorted and take it from there...
