Thread: The life of a 2001 Polo 16v Mk5 6N2 Facelift

    G'day Darthdougal.
the guages are VDO. The two i have are a oil pressure and battery volts. They both cost around $80 each including the sender unit. The guage holder i was able to buy off Ebay for around $25. I ran the sender unit wires along and through the A/C drain hole so i didn't have to drill any holes in the firewall.

    they dont go too bad.

To bad the 6n 8v is the most under-engined POS going around

that chassis deserves a free revving 16v, but it gets a stuffy underpowered single point injected 8v!

I used to 3 wheel mine everywhere!

Mine had a 16v badge on the back. It's on my dishwasher now.
It's off the market for the moment anyway, it got reversed into by a big arse van right in front of my eyes Poor little thing needs a new door and mirror.
Got the VR now, it is nice to have a bit more power, but i do miss how well it used to stick, it was almost on rails. It is such a good little car, i'm going to miss it so much when it goes. (it's like a pet, i've had it for more than 7 years)

yours was the model after mine then!

Yeh my thing used to 3 wheel around HEAPS of corners. It was HILARIOUS to see the looks on peoples faces when it happened to!
It was also a handy lift off oversteerer, something I just cant get my 9n to do

I can solve this problem for you. I will soften the suspension up in the front of my polo. Then you can buy it and three wheel around corners. Sound like a good plan? Heh...
