Hoping someone here will have a solution,
Idling the car today whilst warming up, I revved it up to about 1800rpm but the idle stayed there even though I had taken my foot off the accelerator.
It only stayed at 1800rpm for a few seconds, but on it's way back down the engine spluttered but then ran smooth again.
Any ideas?
Thanks
My Car(s): 2011 6R TSI Comfortline (Pepper Silver),
If you're in need of any 6n1 parts, odds are that I am going to have them (dismantling 2 at the moment)
Ive got no doubt if you run a scan on that it will have codes if the throttle body is playing up, unfortunately they are a but problematic. If you try to source one there is a couple of options depending on the transmission you have.
Good luck

Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking throttle position sensor, which is on the throttle body anyway, so I will use that as a starting point.
Id get the throttle body cleaned and then basic set. If fault persists replace it.
