    2001 16V AHW Misfire/Splutter

    Hello all!

Back in Australia and up on the Sunshine Coast at the mo, bought a Polo cheap down in Byron, been alright but got problems now!
Horrible misfire/hopping under load, seems alright in neutral when revved, but to much gas going through the gears and it's horrendous! Can cruise with foot very lightly on the gas, or feels okay at high revs...

Anyway of telling if it's 02 sensor? Feels tiny but better when cold..?

Anyone know where I could take it in Caloundra? Maybe Brisbane a better choice?

    Any ideas, much appreciated..

Hey Matt, Greg Roles would scan it for you I am sure. If he can't, I am off work in the day all week. In Narangba, if you can limp it down here I'll gladly take a look with you.

Have a good look for intake leaks.

    Hey Gav!

I might well pop in and see you mate, it's been years anyway!

I'm here for tomorrow night, but was thinking of heading for Brisbane on Tuesday, I see you're about an hour or so away... So how about Tuesday? Bloody Polo! Gearbox has had a rebuild and is sounding a but rough now too! Yeah good point on the leaks... feels like it could be something like that ...

Basics, spark plugs, Coil or leads, scan wont always show that, especially software that age. Would be thinking if it had intake leaks it would be rough or atleast not smooth at idle.
