Personally been going there for 10 years now, no issues. For me its miles away as I live west side.
I've said it before: No pretty receptionist, no hire cars, no coffee. Just excellent work.

no recommendations for the northside other than northstar?

i wouldn't take a wheel barrow there.... the last time will be the last time.

mine is about to walk out of warranty and would be nice if there was someone worth taking it to that told the truth...

I seriously considered going to German Autos. Even went so far as stopping by to have a chat.

Old skool mechanic with an interest in old VWs ....... probably does a great job and will service and fix all VWs, especially old ones very effectively.

However, not particularly interested in modern VWs and not at all in their tuning possibilities. Downright disdainful of ECU tuning a modern VW ...... and had no discernible knowledge of what is currently being done in that respect to modern TSI engines.

I therefore decided against taking my tuned VWs there.

So still need a quality, inexpensive (not the same as cheap!), enthusiast VW mechanic on the Northside .....

Hmmm, I'm in desperate need of a mechanic as I'm back in Brisbane next week after a long hiatus.

Do you think he'd be ok with a Mk4? I was hoping they could install a DP for me too...
