There used to be a place at Albion called Wilson's wheel works. It was near European Wreckers. It is 5 years since I lived in Brisbane. Check the yellow pages they may have moved.

I just did a White Pages search. There is a mob called Albion Wheel Repairs at Taylor Street, Abion although the map says it is Bowen Hills. Sounds like it could be the same place.

I went to a place down the coast somewhere in behind harbour town. cant for the life of me remember - it was some race engineering place like that dont quote me though.
they did a sweet job for $70 took out a massive dint in the rim that was letting out air when i went around a corner.
but for that price I had to repaint it myself with a $2 can of chrome
    $72 i was happy

but just did a search and these guys came up at sumner park

My wife has been biting kerbs again ... drives by braille, I swear. One she did on Saturday nite took a bite out of the Conti as well (although it's still maintaining pressure ... but not too sure I'd trust it at high speed ... should that ever happen). .

Even better, Elwood ... just around the corner from my place. Cheers.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Race Engineers Vs Weston Suburbs Bodyworks

OK ... I checked out Race Engineers today - $150/wheel (ouch!). On a hunch I checked in with Bob Jane T-mart on the way home and they recommended a guy they use: Western Suburbs Bodyworks ... $100/wheel (after I mentioned I was a member of this forum ... up here for dancing, right?). Anyway ... BJ-T-Mart said this guy (Troy) at Western did a top job and even re-coated the wheels.

Race Engineers are in Jijaws Street and Weston Suburbs Bodyworks is at:
528 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road and his phone number is 38784480.

    Cheers,
    Dave

Im the only driver. Was mainly from first few weeks of driving and as I have aftermarket rims dont particularly want to buy another set. When looks like repairs will be much cheaper.

Does anyone know someone in Sydney that can fix scratches on GTI alloys at a reasonable price?
