Where in Sydney are you?
RH Adams, Padstow is good.
Barry Soloman Steering, Mortdale was good but I haven't used them for a while.
can someone recommend a good place to do my all 4 wheels alignment, in syd
im after a good price to service ratio, i really hate those places that charge a fortune because of their name, but do the worst job
i made some changes and i got some unwanted negative camber

heismans suspension on princess hw tempe they are awesome and have plenty to look at in bilstein range
well i had my car fixed, $1500 panel beater and $450 for wheels to be fixed
thanks George, Detroit custom did a great job
what im not happy about is the place where they did the wheel alignment, they have spouse to be the best in syd and the most expensive as well, but they did such a bad job
im not gonna say they name,
the car was taken there because i touched the curb when the accident happened, just a spot on the rim, almost not visible
now the alignment was no different than before, but anyway...
now, the car pulls to the left, searing wheel points to the right when i go straight and i get a bit of a shake at about 90 km/h
camber angle is visibly off
my insurance paid for all these repairs, when i vent back tho get it straightened out, they didnt wana hear about it, would look at it if i pay for it again
so im just sick of it, i wanna know where is a good place to take it, i saw a thread while ago of a member with a printout with all the details, alignment and camber, sounded like a job well done
From memory, that was a bob jane store.
I got mine done at a bob jane over here. No printouts but felt good afterwards.

if you've touched a gutter and you have some vibration and the camber is visibly out, i'd guess they havnt done it at all.
my experience is that tyre retailers do really **** wheel alignments at the best of times and seldom know how or what to set a golf up like.
after several bad experiences i now do wheel alignments for myself, purely on sight and feel. currently, my car has done 20,000 km on my own wheel alignment, no signs of unusual tyre ware and it feels tip top to drive..... not helpful for you -
if you can find a tyre place or a nice euro mechanic who knows golfs that will do it, it might be worth your while getting it done there....
other than that - talk to the guys on the floor... in any place. be annoying, get in there and ask questions and find out (before your car is handed to them) if they have a clue or if they are just salesmen letting you think they'll take care of it. maybe you'll get some old bloke who actually knows what he's doing, rather than some punk who treats you like an idiot.
good luck in any case,

My experience is that tyre shops only do toe in/out adjustment for wheel alignment. I have had to go to suspension places to get the camber set properly. But even then I have had to point out that it is adjustable on Golfs.
A Pedders shop did an okay job for me a few years ago.
Paul
i had it done at Pedders after i installed the suspensions, which was 4 before the accident
