VAGLINK now re-opened as Oriental Parts

Just letting people know this online parts shop based in HK (formally T/A VAGLINK) has now re-opened under the name of:

Oriental Parts

Don't quite understand the logic behind the name and certainly doesn't help what they're selling which is genuine VW parts but manufactured in China for VW China.

They also stock genuine but limited ECS parts at usually the same RRP price as in the US.
However, being based in HK means you save a lot on shipping to OZ!


Warning on genuine VW parts:

As you are buying VW parts for Chinese built VDubs, you need to do your homework and ask whether parts will fit German built VDubs for RoW.

There are subtle differences!

E.g. Chinese Tiguan have a longer wheel base than German built Tiguan, meaning they have longer rear passenger doors & windows.

But I'd say 85% of parts should be compatible and universal (in terms part numbers, look & quality), regardless of being made specifically for the local Chinese market.

In past experience, they with provide 100% refund if their same part do not fit German built VDubs for RoW.
