    Panel Beater in Melbourne VIC

    Hey guys,

I read thru the forum looking for someone with any past experience with panel beaters in Melbourne vic but failed to find any.

I had a little accident with my MK6 GTI today, the party at fault crashed into my right passenger door, the body around the tyres and the rims as well (18" Detroit).

Has anyone has any past experience with some good panel beaters I can send my baby to? I have the choice of repairers.

Will post some pics if needed.

    Thank you for your advise!

honestly how do you select which panel beater to do a job if you had no past experience?

I've experienced Mr. Gloss and will never go there again!

i went to LP at the recommendation of Dean at Volkspower.

couldn't be happier, colour match is perfect, and they even encouraged me to go and check out the car in its various stages of repair too

2 other good repairers, if your near St. Kilda area:

    1. Inkerman Panels off Inkerman St. in St. Kilda - they're exe. but their set-up is no. 1 and service is excellent

    2. Montague Panels in Ormond Rd. Elwood- James there seems to do nothing but Audis, Porsches and VW's. Just picked-up my Subaru Outback on Friday after it's rear bumper was re-sprayed by them (some old bugger hit my wife) the work looks good and they cleaned the whole car to make it look fantastic !!

Well I called volkspower and they sang praises for LP bodyworks. The problem is they can only see me on friday....

With regards to parts am I going to be waiting a long time on parts? I'll post some pictures up tonight so you can see the damage.

Also with RACV do they need to asses the damage themselves?
