In need of a recommended repairer - ECU related not a physical part/replacement issue

    Hi,

I'm after suggestions for someone that really knows their VWs technically and has the tools to investigate my issue.

    I'm based in Leichhardt, Sydney.

The issue is my car keeps delivering fuel to the engine 2 seconds after I get out of the throttle. VWA cannot find the problem. So this will, I think, need someone that has intrinsic knowledge of the ECU/sensors.

I was thinking a tuning house might be the best starting point but I suspect many of them know how to connect to the car and upload the ECU mapping and that's about it. Happy to hear differently.

    Cheers

Worst case scenario - you might need a new ECU?

I'll give a couple of people a crack. If they sort it at a reasonable cost? great. If not I'd like to 'try' a stage 1 tune from a group that has a clue about drivability and not merely extracting HP and see if that sorts it.

If not - sell it and get something else probably a Mk7 R although the Focus RS was a real hoot to drive but the R had slightly better manners around town.
