Need advice on repairs MK6 Golf

i was involved in a 5 car pile up today, being the 1st, the damage to my car was substantially less than the rest of them.

i got a couple of dings and some scuffing on the rear bumper. my rego plate is slightly warped.

would there be any damage to the interior components? insurance hooked me up with capital S.M.A.R.T repairs. i know they'll put it back to as new as possible (hopefully) but it just wouldnt feel the same any more

Rear impacts are a tricky beast, they cant tell if there is broader damage until they remove the bumper and check the subframe.

As for feeling the same that is just a myth, the technology around now will have your car back better than new. The only thing you might notice if the shut is big enough is more squeaks and creaks in the interior

thanks for the reply SF, is it common practice that the repairers will check the subframe or is it something i'll have to insist they do?
