Mk6 R Oil Change, Affordable servicing in Brisbane

My Car is due for an Oil Change ASAP, Car is at 55000ks and is due at 56000ks. Last service was at 50000ks using Fuchs 5w-40. My mechanic mate said Fuchs is **** house.

Whats the best Engine oil for this engine? Car is running Apr Stage 2+

I would prefer to go to a proper garage to get the service done, so they can stamp the book and change the sticker, not a fan of home jobs even if it is cheaper. Been quoted $180 from a mob near me for a oil change, $169 from midas, $300+ from Prestige and performance, which is a joke IMO

Hey mate. Never heard of that oil plus I think it's too heavy. Not sure on the 'R' but the GTI needs 5w30. I use liqui moly long life 3, Every 10000klm

Fuchs is a good oil, just make sure its a 5w-30 and the correct spec for modern VW engines (VW 504/507).

Ask for Dean at Brakes Plus Underwood.
He is a VW Tech and has VCDS.

They do brakes, but he can also do all mechanical repairs / upgrades / Log Book Servicing etc.(Just bring the parts you want to use)

See how you go with Dean!
