Mechatronics Repair Technician in Sydney

I've called a few transmission places and asked about having a solenoid replaced on my mechatronics and they all say its not possible and they whole unit needs to be replaced, yet there are parts available online and videos documenting the process online so I'm thinking they're all taking the easy route and replacing the whole unit to save themselves from any hassles later on. The borgwarner solenoid is about $200 but having trouble finding anyone willing to do it, about to bite the bullet and do it myself unless i can find someone ..

Shops dont want to do that. They want a certain fix.

Labour to remove mecha, plus time to time solenoid. Refit mecha. Fill with oil. Adapt DSG. Test drive. Fault still there. Explain to customer. Repeat.

What would you do?

I have done this and it didnt fix the DSG. New Mecha did.

Wont do it again.

Hi,

I had a Passat B6 before and had done with a guy here in the Northern Beaches, after he redone the whole mechatronic the car was amazing and was way cheaper than replace the whole thing.
