Best place to service in Sydney

    Hi,

Just wondering where is the best place you all, would recommend in servicing my GTI. My mate used to service at Barloworld in Mascot and Five Dock and said their prices always had strings attached and he always had to pay at least 500+ for service.

Anyone tired the VW service center in Parra?

    Any feedback would be awesome!

    Thanks.

^^^ Yep! Choose someone with loads of VAG experience but who is independent from the dealer network. You migth have to forgo a loan car, and you still might need to go back to the dealer for warranty jobs, but you'll save more than the cost of a hire car in price and get better service as well from someone who values your business, will maintain a history of your car, and won't necessarily have 15 apprentices in the mega workshop doing your services for that $500.

If your interested in paying almost double at a dealer and having a apprentice work on your car, go for it lol

I use McGrath at Sutherland, they provide good service and I have no complaints about their work.

My car is a lease so dunno about cost.

The good thing about servicing at a dealer is when things go pear shaped you have a relationship with them and if they stuff you around they have a loyal customer to lose. I have had plenty of warranty work done and never had a question asked, they have been very good.

If I had it serviced at a third party, then went to a dealer for a warranty claim, they are less likely to be easy going.

I don't think its bad to go to a good third party but there are downsides, just like with dealer servicing.

Why would you go to a dealer/stealer?
