Yep and prices are still around that. I think it really comes down to the amount of time and the amount of film.

3-5 hours.
Some photos of the install on my Candy White GTI - VentureShield Paint Protection Film (PPF) fitted to Volkswagen Golf GTI Mark VOne last one - I noticed that some people saying that the product is more visible on white cars? Am very interesting in hearing from any white vw owners who had this applied. Does it stand out like the proverbial dogs balls?

Thanks Maverick
The PPF has yellowed a tiny tiny bit in just over two years but it's still hard to notice unless you're looking for it especially outside, on anything but white this wouldn't be visible. I wouldn't get a new car without it fitted as the protection it provides is worth every cent.

As Mav said, it doesn't yellow very much but could just be that it shows up more on white..
Well worth it either way if you have the money, it's much better than the acrylic protection pack stuff.
I had it on my R32,
Got the Perfomance package from Rennen which is
Street Package
Full bumper, headlights, turn signals, guard ends, bonnet (approx. 40cm), front of rear arches and trailing edges of all wheel arches (most vehicles).
*Performance Package
As per Street Package plus: full bonnet, mirror backs, and full length door sills.
Costs a bit more but Dijon is a real perfectionist and did a great job!

Has anyone gone to OziShield before?
All the information for the MK6 GTI is here:
Product Page - OziShield :
Their website was very comprehensive, with alot of cars listed to help you get the price you needed.
What are peoples thoughts for their standard pack?

I got mine done by Advanced Surface Tech at 5/121 Old Pittwarer Rd, Brookvale soon after I picked the car from dealer. This is the best paint protection and stonechip protection you can have. I am very pleased with what they did. Very professional job. Chris, the manager, even put on 3 layers of nano on top of it w/o additional cost. Great guy, took the time to explain the technology and he had several vehicles in shop to show. You cannot tell there is a layer of shield unless you look close up. The material is extremely tough. Also I find the car very easy to clean. There are several kits available. I did the racing kit with doors and quarter panel. Would have liked to do the whole car. I highly recommend Advanced Surface Tech. Talk to Chris and mention CK as reference. Be prepared to leave the car there for 3 days if you are doing the racing kit. Also don't be put off by the initial quote, Chris is quite negotiable. Best time to do this is when you pick up your new car.
If you want to know more about this leave me a PM.
I have posted some pictures for the benefit of those who are considering doing this.

Got a quote on getting the R done when it arrives, full bonnet, front bumper, headlights, part of the front quarter panels and wing mirrors was $1300.
Just a quick question for those that have it installed, when ventureshield is fitted does it also reduce the tendancy for swirl marks to appear or can they still happen in the film itself?
