does the left hand wiper on your R travel all the way down on the left side, (below the hood) or does it stop at the hood and come back over to the right?
No problems weewilly.
Some of these things can seem bizare at first, but many make a lot of sense once you have your head around them.
Volkswagen usually have a fairly well thought out approach to their changes though. I remember when the BMW 1 series hatchback first came out, people would put them in the service mode, lift them up, then they'd lift up the bonnet without remembering to put the wipers down. Several people reported that as well as damage to the back edge of their bonnet, the wipe blade would come down and puncture and/or crack the windscreen!

I had the same problem too!
How did i fix it?
Easy....the cause of wiper blades to shudder is because of wax contamination on the windscreen...this causes the glass to have some smooth area and some not so smooth areas so therefore it causes it to shudder....
Try to fix it by buying some Wax remover which can be bought at super cheap auto and then wiper it on the glass and also on the wiper blades....this stuff is pretty harsh so make sure you don't spill it on anything else it is mainly used to prep the car for a paint job.
See if this fixes your problems.

These also could be useful if you are having problems with your wipers. Use them regularly myself and work quite well actually!

Hey guys, after a recent trip to a carwash place, my passenger's side wiper has started to shudder! Only the outer edge of the wiper shudders and I tried wiping the windscreen and the actual wiper with a cloth but to no avail. I then loosened the wiper by pressing the rectangular button and pulled the rubber outward a bit and clicked the wiper back in. To my surprise that actually did the job! It no longer shudders now and I believe the people at the carwash must have pushed the rubber in a bit while they were cleaning the windscreen.

I just want to say that I've tried this on my car and it has worked well. I've done the 303 on my wipers and it helps for a while, but with the heavy rain we've been having it eventually starts shuddering again. I think that the tolerances on the batch of wiper blade clips that have shipped in cars recently isn't as good as they've previously been!
Thanks for the advice
Hey Guys, my windscreen wipers are squeaking at the end of each stroke in either direction. (but fine during the wipe)
How can I eliminate the squeak - its driving me mad!
They were dead quiet for a week of having the car brand new, but not anymore
I've cleaned the glass with that Invisible Glass rain repellent, but it didn't seem to help and glass looks spotless to me.

This has come up before and this will be moved to the same place, my recollection is they need to be adjusted so take it back to the service folk. I will search around and find the thread
Here you go.. it is related to the shudder
