Windscreen Replace - Features

Hi all,

I need to replace my windscreen in my 2009 Golf 6 118TSI Comfortline. The repairer is asking whether I have an acoustic dampening windscreen (in addition to rain sensing).

Did this model come with an acoustic dampening windscreen? Anything else I need to be aware of when getting a replacement windscreen for this model? (e.g. do I need to consider the light sensor?)

All MK6s came with the acoustic dampening screen.

I'm assuming the reason they ask, is because the MK5 Golf screen fits in the same hole.

If it were me, I would try and push for a genuine VW screen.

I just went through my insurance and I asked for a genuine. They did so and as it turned out was cheaper than one from Windscreens Obrien anyway.
