Will the Tiguan 155TSI 17" Philadelphia rims fit a Golf 77TSI?

We got a Golf 77TSI in July last year and have a Tiguan 155TSI arriving in August.

I was contemplating getting a new set of tyres for the Golf and thought I could transplant the Philadelphia 17" rims to the Golf and upsize it to 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

But I am not sure if the offset is correct? I understand the normal offset for the Tiguan is between +34 to +42 but I am not sure what the factory Philadelphia rim settings are. Whereas the Golf uses a +45 offset normally.

Any one have experience with this?

I'm running +45 with my oz racing rims, they for fine
If its +42, then that should work, anything lower will cause issues unless u stretch the rubber.
Might be better off getting proper offset runs rather than trying to make those fit

They will physically fit but the typical offset for Tiguan wheels is around the ET35 mark so they'll be about 15mm-ish further out than the stock wheels. If you're not lowered you should be ok, if lowered you may have some snags.

The Golf is my wife's car and it comes with 15" hub caps. All standard except for the dealer fitted reverse sensor and reverse camera/satnav unit.

    Car isn't lowered.

I didn't want to waste the 17" rims since I was planning to get a set of 19 or 20" rims for the Tiguan

    The Philadelphia wheels (7 J x 17) have an offset of 43.

In regards to the Golf VI, the steel wheels (6 J x 15) have an offset of 47, but the rest of the alloy wheels usually have an offset of 50, 51 or 54.

If its +43, then u might get away with it. Best bet is to trial fit once the tyres r off, otherwise u can sell them off

Check out tirerack, add about $300-350 for shipping for a set. I think the Aud is about par now?

A set of 225/40/18 Michelin PSSs was about $1100 shipped.
