The delivery costs might kill it for you.
Have you contacted your local Mobil rep/distributor? That was the cheapest way when my mate in ACT bought some. Only catch was you had to buy 20L
^ Yeah for sure, that exercise was just to see if GL Lubricants were any different to Autobarn.
It seems that they are exactly the same, so I personally won't have any problems purchasing from GL Lubricants moving forward.
Cheers,
Andy

There's a bloke in Vic (Greensborough) area that sells Mobil 1 similar to GL Lubricants. Think his name is [s]Nick[/s] Harold (Proformancelubes). Also has a website and eBay store.
I haven't sussed him out yet as I think he's away until after Easter. But there's a lot of people from many forums that buy from him it seems.
Delivered through GL Lubricants isn't too bad. I dummied up 5L with delievry and it was around $80.
Cheers,
Andy

Only me checking in again...
Thought it was worth a post and a food for thought.
I ended up purchasing Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 from GL Lubricants (as PerformanceLub didn't have any in stock). I bought 6x 1L bottles of this.
Funny enough, 4x 1L came from a batch that was made in EU-Finland, and the other 2x 1L was from a batch made in EU-France.
I'm pretty happy with the purchase and will definitely purchase again from these guys!
Moral of my story is that I'm sure that either one (Finland and France) are pretty much same sht as the other. Also that although GL Lubricant import from USA, you'll still get EU product.
Cheers,
Andy

I needed a top up for my MkV GTI and fortunately repco had Nylon euro 504/507 oil on sale $50 for 5L.
So I bought 4 bottles, should last me 2 future oil changes (inc top up).
Great price for VW approved oil and an Aussie company too..
Hopefully its one of the 'better' 504/507 oils, as it's approved I'm sure it's not a bad oil.

If you mean Nulon (not Nylon) then I think you'll find it isn't VW Approved (they never paid the fee to have it tested & a certificate of conformance issued). They use the term "meets or exceeds the standard" (something like that).

Yeah Nulon, damn auto correct!
They have a few 5w30s but this one is VW approved.

brad is correct.
To date, Nulon Euro 5W-30 has not been certified by Volkswagen, nor does their product appear on Volkswagen's list of approved lubricants.
Having said that, according to Nulon, they state that Euro 5W-30 should meet and exceed the specifications of VW oil standard 504.00/507.00, that Nulon recommends its use for applications which call for that spec, and that it is suitable for use in Volkswagens.
