Who should i deal with? GTi 6

    Hi Guys,

Need some guidance here, i am looking at buying the new Gti Golf 6 and would like to know which dealers are worth talking too and who will make the experience easier than the others.

I've heard some are charging $3,995 delivery and more and these are places i would like to avoid for obvious reasons.

I am in WA but will be buying the car in Melbourne as this is where i am located 90% of the time.

    Cheers

    Steve

Unless you are in a tearing hurry to buy a new GTI mk 6 it will be worth waiting for a while until supply catches up to demand.

When they can sell every car they can get the dealers simply don't have to compete (look at the experiences of would-be GTI mk Vs when that car first came out, very long waiting lists and a real seller's market)

The dealer delivery fee is one of dealer's favourite profit generators (along with paint and interior protection and window tinting).
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).

Yeah I agree! Unless you are in hurry, otherwise hold of for next couple of months.

Currently the price are not negotiable, and delivery charges is up like hell.

Saw one in the flesh today at local dealership. Damn nice but I am not a huge fan of the front grill and prefer the MKV grill and stripe better. Back is sweet with the colour code bumpers and change in lights. I was going to ask about drive away price including trade-in on my GTI but thought....I would prefer to upgrade to an R32 or the new R that will be worth the wait.

Dealer delivery is usually around $2995. However, as some GTI's will end up in the Luxury Car Tax region, and stamp duty goes on top of all the other taxes, a $2995 dealer delivery can cost you as much as $4100 due to the taxes. Dealer delivery is actually one of those negotiable things though, so I'd be interested in hearing whether anyone has been able to get their dealers to budge on this figure for the MK6 GTI negotiations too!

    Hi Guys,

Just letting you know we are charging $1,995 Dealer Delivery. Anything above that is a bit cheeky and you should be able to negotiate it down to around the $2k mark at least.

I'd recommend McGrath Sutherland VW, they were really good to me, and waived the $2995 dealer delivery fee.

And I pick my new beauty up tomorrow morning, woohoo
