I've got a very steep driveway entrance at my apartment and so far, I haven't had a problem getting in and out. Having said that, I always have to approach on the diagonal. Also, if anyone in Sydney knows the Chatswood Classic dealer, on the side street on the north end of that, I took an R for a test drive and drove down that very steep ramp straight on and didn't scrape. My wife has a 2005 Mazda2 with the silly factory bodykit thing on it, the bottom edge on the lip on the R isn't noticeably lower than the Mazda2.

For reference, this is the style I mean : 2002 Mazda Mazda2 Genki 5-dr hatch | GoAuto - Overview

Yeah thats my issue, i have a very steep driveway at home. I never had an issue with my lowered WRX but just wanted to confirm that the R isn't any lower. I don't suppose when you get a chance you could measure the height at the front of your for me please?

Thanks for that Pepe. I will have a look. Talking with my dealer now... I think if I order either GTi or R, I think I will opt for a Jan build date... That will be 8 to 9 months wait lol. What happens if something else better comes out haha

I know what you mean about the wait and if something better comes along. I've put a deposit on an R that will arrive in November but the new STI comes out around October..

haha I didn't know there is a new one?? I do miss my Evo as well but as you age you want to be more low key. Mind you though even though I had carbon fibre poking out all over my Evo, even when stopping next to the police at traffic lights, they looked at the car then me then looked away hahaha. Makes you kind of paranoid. Once I had one make a uturn, speed right up next to me, looked at the car then me again then drove off lol. Don't want any Canaries

At least in a Golf, you can drive without much worry which is something I have come to enjoy too. I wonder what else can we buy for 50 to 60k? There's not really much is there?

Think we're off topic guys... I'm happy for you to discuss WRX's - but do it in the general forum
