    Whats your favourite Mod?

I understand mods are subjective and question like whats the best mod isnt appropriate as everyone wants different things be it comfort, performance, handeling, acceleration etc

But if you have modded or are going to mod what has been your favourite addition to 'your' car and why?

Or what are you most looking forward to doing?

Personally having planned to do an APR Stage 1 im most looking forward to that for the added kick in low range and just to put a smile on my face.

If you cant pick one feel free to list a few of your favourites.

What's been done and what's to follow I'm sure everyone has a list to share, great topic mate
    airfilter for noise
    Stage 2 tune for kicks
charge and discharge pipe for smoothness
HR springs for looks and handling a little
Remus exhaust for the excessive Vroooom
and they all work great together --- a happy family plus more to come

worst mod - osir Carbon insert around gear stick

Very mate. Apart from being German made, they are German made lol they belong on the car. There are some costly options around however if you look around you can find a real bargain.... Yay

I was always a lot more 'in love' with my Mk6 than I was my Mk7.

It was pretty much a stock ride until warranty passed at which point I made the decision to have a play - mods as per the sig, and to be honest it's hard to pick a favourite.. ok so the coils are arguably a bit of a tug although there is enough anecdotal evidence at the time that it minimised any issues that may have arisen from going tuned.

I will say the one with the most mixed emotions were the springs - it was just the right ride height drop for the look I like and set off the OZs perfectly - but for something that supposedly offered 'stock levels of ride comfort' they did not, and for day to day stuff that grated a little.

Why do you think more fond of the mk6 over mk7?

As the question was what was your favourite mod I would have to say with both my Polo GTI and my Golf R, bang for buck or continuous smile inducing, it was the stage one tunes provided by Gavin.
2001 Bora 4 Motion Sport now used by number two son
2011 Skoda Octavia Scout now with Underground Performance tune
2010 Jetta 125 tdi dsg for the misses - Impressed
2006 Polo GTI - Enhanced by some of Gav's magic - Absolutely loving it

I've spent a few years mulling over that one and don't have a conclusive answer.

Maybe it was just more special back then as the wait list was out 6-9 months depending on what you wanted (in July 2010 you could count on your hands the amount of dealer stock that was in the country and for sale); maybe because it was my first Golf; maybe because I went a lot further in personalising it than I did the Mk7. It just felt like a special place to sit in every time.

There is no doubt the Mk7 was a better car. I just never loved it like I did my Mk6.
