is there another VW dealer you can go to, 3 weeks to take a look seem over the top..

As for them not ordering in the part, i can understand how that would annoy you, but at the same time they can’t take a customers word for it, people would call up saying “i need a new gear box, order it in”, i can see how they would have to check out the fault themselves first.. good luck with it.
