The engine mounts I see many people use, regardless of Audi, VW or Skoda, or model, are the APR ones...
    APR Engine Mount Insert

I haven't personally used one though.

Why? 80 Duro for manual transmissions & 90 Duro for DSG transmissions.

My guess is that it's because the DSG gearbox is about 30kg heavier than the manual, therefore the need to use a harder compound to achieve the same result.

Why don't you just bolt the engine straight to the chassis? Can't really see an issue with that.

(sorry, couldn't find the sarcasm tags)

Could the guaranteed smooth shifting of the DSG also play a part (since not everyone shifts manuals butter smooth all the time)?

Nothing to stop you if you don't mind a bit more NVH. I know someone who fitted a polyureathane dogbone mount to his diesel and he loves it even though it'd loosen fillings at idle.

    Yes I should do that

But more to the Point the Golf I use as a track car so it does not really matter if it is crazy hard. I invite it

Come to Winton then and shred your tyres (since you have new ones on the way)

Guess I wanted to know if it would fit, by the looks for it they run the same bush.
