I know someone changed the flash from 3 to 5 so it's should be able just have 1 or 2 flashes instead of 3?
The real issue is not so much being able to turn the feature on or off or even to change the number of flashes. It is the inability to cancel it on Volkswagens. Other cars can do it and it makes the operation much better IME

On my Caddy, it can be turned on or off via the menu system. If you want it on, you cannot cancel it, and this is the issue.

I agree. When I refer to changing a setting, I'm not referring to the Comfort Indication feature itself, but rather the method (if any) by which it can be cancelled when in use.

I am the opposite and hate it with a passion. I prefer to control things myself. At least VW give us all a choice.

If it could be cancelled, then you'd have control. The lack of a means of cancelling is why you feel it's out of your control (because it is, once it starts)

I just confirmed yesterday that you can in fact cancel it if you put the indicator stalk to the opposite side and wait til the second click before you put the stalk back in the neutral position.

But that's hardly canceling it. After all, you may want to cancel it after one click, but then have to get two clicks the other way.

    I agree.

That's a "solution" in the same way that fitting a rear anti-roll bar is a "solution" for understeer when the front anti-roll bar is too stiff.
