Have lived with a similar colour before. Wouldn't do it again if it was parked out side though, but that is cruelty to cars!

I currently dont have an undercover park at work but been parking at the shops (undercover), don't know how long that will work. Was wondering if White holds up better outside?

Silver is easy to live with.

I'm not a massive one for cleaning and polishing, so went silver last time on the GT and gone white for the GTI

Black is by far the best looking colour (On the day that you spend 2 hours washing and polishing it)

I thought the Carbon Grey would wear well but have seen a couple of dusty looking ones around.
    currrently... MY10 GTI | DSG | Candy White | Sunroof | 18's | BT | MDI
previously... MY08 GT TDI | DSG | Reflex Silver | Sunroof

I went with the Carbon over the black because in person, when I had them side by side, I could see the lines of the MKVI better. To me that is important.

I actually think the silver and white are great colors for this reason but I prefer the darker look. Black has just been too painful for me in the past.

My R32 was Black. Best colour ever when clean. As a friend said, the 2 best days you own a black car are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

My new Skoda RS is Candy WHite and I reckon I'll order the R in Candy White. Matching his & hers cars!

Ya'll know that white, silver, grey, and black are not colours right... they're tones! Shades of grey... boring

There R will probably only be available in 1 or 2 colours in Australia - Blue and maybe Red.

I'm actually in Korea now, and without any exaggeration (I'm actually probably UNDER estimating) 95% of the cars are White, Black, or shades of grey (silver, gunmetal etc). In fact, it wasn't until the 3rd day here that I was in a taxi with a work mate and we saw a red car next to us, and that's when we realised how colourless the cars are. It's very depressing!

That's true they look amazing when they're clean thouguh (which is about 1 day). Silver is very easy doesn't show the dust but it's been over done a bit.

White is great as you can make it pretty tough with dark bits. Kind of feels like a waste of effort polishing though as there isn't really any depth or shine. DBP comes up awesome in the sun.

Liberty was only offered in all those grey scales for ages.. nothing else.

I'd hope that there are more colours available than that, as Red is pretty much a GTI colour. I'd be happy with Blue or CW, silver could look good too.[/QUOTE]

That's pretty cool, you don't see many flash cars there, most are Daewoo/Hyundai. The new Tribune coupe should be ok though, getting the EVO engine or something similar I heard.

When I said 1 or 2 colours, I was excluding the 'tones'

Well as i've mentioned before, I ordered a few days before xmas and just today confirmed a week 6 build (then 14-16 weeks wait supposedly). One thing he did say which I asked him about was this whole 'week 6 being the first 2010 produced vehicles' thing. He said its bull**** and had a clients car being built on the 5th Jan. Don't know what the story is there are quite a few people have mentioned the week 6 thing and then after this discussion it turns out my car is week 6 in the computer. lol.
