This is a bit of a cross-over question but perhaps there's someone here that can help.

I'm in the process of upgrading my 7sp DSG Tiguan multi-function steering wheel to fit a Mk6 Type R multi-function wheel with flappy paddles. For some reason they don't fit the flappy paddles in the Tig with DSG boxes as standard.

Anyway I have a new Type R steering wheel on the way but need to get the correct airbag to suit (Tigs won't fit).

I've spoken to a few people that sell airbags but nobody seems to be able to help much - questions about model numbers and single stage/dual stage plugs...

Unfortunately I don't have the model/part number off the new wheel (yet).

Was hoping someone here may be able to point me in the right direction.

Otherwise I'll have to wait until the new wheel lands before getting the airbag, but was hoping I didn't have to wait.
