I bought the sill scuff plates (GTI style), and reckon they're great.

Got the exact same ones, Adam. Love them too! Gives the door sill a nice look and finish, imo.

Thanks for the pics Adam. Personally I never scuff that bit (usually get the plastic bit higher up), not sure if the plate will make cleaning that section easier or harder when washing the car.

Anyway just purchased the air filter for now since it's the only thing that does something and we'll see how we go.

I never scuff there either, but as Christopher says, it definitely improves the look, and gives the door sill a more finished appearance. Easy to clean too. Unfortunately the plastic section of the door opening remains susceptible to scuffs.
