Yep - the base is rubber. Better quality all round than the stock mats.

heh, hardly a fair comparison, the stock ones are bits of fuzzy cardboard

Yes they fit nicely. They use genuine VW mouning plugs on the mats so they clip in and out perfectly. The 2x front mats are actually a few inches longer than the original mats (they go higher up into the firewall area) which was an added bonus. I'll take some more pics showing them in the car.

True - i expected the stock mats to be of better quality. But like you said, they are cheap flimsy things arent they

I'm considering a set group-buy or not. They definitely look the biz. Would be very interested to see how well they go in a GTI style.

Only suggestion I'd make is the logo - GTI or R - could be a bit smaller, and more subtle.
