Asked Burwin VW for front slim-line weather-shields today while getting the car serviced. I returned to find that they only sell them as a set of 4, so they had installed the front two as requested and left the rear ones in the boot.

Suppose I'll get around to installing them one day before winter, as they require ~4 hours to set (double-sided tape, after cleaning area with some alcohol-based product).

Went for a quick drive through Mt Dandenong with the front windows open a bit and the difference was very noticeable - no more horrible buffeting (like listening to those Dyson Air Multiplier advertisements). Could've/should've got them off eBay for much less but I'll live. May get around to taking photos later. My only concern now is that this may make future window-tinting harder/impossible???

Some one gave me a tip to deal with the buffeting which works.. wind your front window all the way down and then wind your rear passenger drivers side window half way down.. pretty much sorts the buffting out. Should work even better with those slimline shields

Nice tip - probably not a great idea for inclement weather though.

No but I am not sure your weather shield will help that either
