What Accessories are you buying for your MK6 Golf?

If there's one thing I miss from the RCD310 it's the Radio Text that told you the song info and weather on the main radio stations. I was really hoping a firmware update would restore that feature to the RNS510. I have no idea if the RCD510 has it or not.

Anyone know what the part numbers are for the Golf R black side mirror housing? I'd like to see how much they cost, or if I should just vinyl wrap it with DiNoc carbon fibre.

ECS Tuning has the genuine VAG parts here. It's very likely that you could just call your local VW Spares and give them the manufacturer part number listed and they could give you the price (i've done that with other parts).

Vinyl wrapping will be far cheaper - however it can be a real biatch to wrap a part with as complex curves as the mirror caps. Another alternative would to just get them sprayed by your local body shop...

I've considered spray painting from the local body shop, but then that would mean I can't revert to stock when I want to sell the car. Can't believe that something so simple made from plastic costs over $200.

Maybe I'll just give this simple mod a miss.

Rang up local dealer and been quoted $2757 just for the unit - are they mad ? Fitting was extra and that's not even Navigation unit...

I know that it is illegal to use fog lights in WA but... Has anyone installed fog lights in their Golf just "to look pretty"...

I understand it sounds stupid but did anyone added unconnected fog lights to their front grille, such as :
