Do you just load once and that's it? Or would my wife find out somehow
Let me know how you go with fuel consumption
I don't know about heaps quicker but yeah lot stronger across the range for sure! A plus for me is it is set and forget, instead of fiddling with it.

As for FC, I think there is a small price to pay at the pump. But for the extra fun I get, ain't going to worry about an extra tank or three per year.

Ideo, just toss a coin mate. Can't go wrong with either one.

    Well,
I have to say I'm more than happy with my mods.
    totally different car now.
Lots more power across entire rev range.

AND I am now averaging 10.2l/100klm, down from 10.8 before tune and extras.
Surprising as I am driving it just as hard.

    Markwid, thanks for the reply.

A couple of questions for further clarity...

So do the other brands require adjusting in the cockpit, and GIAC is loaded in once and that's it? Is this why you picked GIAC over APR?

How many extra kw's are you supposed to get from this mod?

    Does the exhaust note change?

Will VW pick this up on next service?

    Any disadvantages?

    Thanks

    Hi Mariani

Better to talk about this in the Tuning subforum

In short, nothing to really worry about, and potential -'ves are far outweighed by the +'ves

Has anyone found a cheap air con vent phone holder?

The vents for the Golf R is extra deep, so my old cradle does not go in far enough to hold it in place. I've looked on ebay, but not sure which ones fit my car!

If when you say "phone" you mean an Apple device, then check out this thread

I don't have an iphone Corey. I went through that thread yesterday, and a lot of the ebay links were outdated.

So like... what phone do you have then? Makes it easier for people to suggest phone holders when they know what you have

I've got a HTC Desire. But I don't want to limit myself to one phone. I don't want to keep getting new holders every time I get a new phone.
