Thanks for the photos aVex. They are handy because they are obviously already cut to the exact "template" that you require for your car. If you had to cut manually from scraps of Ventureshield, it'd be more difficult - especially since you've got a couple different bends and surfaces to attach the stuff to.

It's now ten days since I received my vehicle from the dealership and I've already done 800KM's. I've now placed an order for a Bluefin Stage 1 upgrade, but I've got to wait since there isn't any stock left. I'm telling myself six months later I'll then consider a downpipe, six months and not in the next 2 weeks.

i'm 80% about to place an order for Bluefin Stage 1 too and the stocks wil be arriving next week.

I already have fitted Gruppe M CAI + Carbonio State 2 intake pipe + Akrapovic catback and link pipe; so perhaps an APR downpipe will complement the stage 2 wish list :p

other wish list is a set of H&R small sway bars to complement my PSS10 which I plan to install when the new wheels arrive.. but i don't have plan to track the car.. yet.

then once all the above are done, i've got to find out how to stop the car better. already have adams rotors and gruppe m brake line kit, but the MY2011 GTI came with smaller rear rotor, hence different caliper

Wow! This almost makes the APR Stage 1 tune seem like a rip off! But you get wayy more power increase with APR though..

Well at $1700 I will have to expect a lot more. The bluefin does give a big increase too, it's only slightly less than the others but then again it's the mapping and power curve that should fit with your driving not how much power.
