finally got around to install rear reversing camera running it off an ANS810, the result were surprisingly good, i mean it even had lines linked to the steering angle. The best thing is the entire kit cost just $30, now lets hope it lasts.

Finny got around in installing my sill protectors and seat lever thingy. They are some nice subtle touches that really should have been there from the factory.

It's just a little glary so the photo's aren't great, but here you go. 10 minutes worth of stick of goodness.

Now all that's left is the LED door lights to go in when I get the urge to pull the door trims off.

Nice mats, just wondering how much and where from? Coming up to 4 years old and my heal is almost through the mat so the plastic square would be useful.

See this post (they do GTI mats too, and Lucas_R has bought some of those for his partner's GTI - see this thread for that car):

    From Mats to paddles....
I am thinking of getting some aftermarket paddle shifters for my Golf R...not the stick on ones but the full alloy replacements.
Has anyone removed the airbag and changed theirs successfully?
I have found a youtube clip that shows how to remove the golf Mk 5 airbag to get access to remove the factory paddle but am wondering if the Golf Mk 6 may have a different method for removing these.
    Thanking you in advance.

See the Tiguan steering wheel upgrade thread which has photos showing both airbag clip types.

For the record my stick-ons still perform great

Removing the airbag on these cars is stupidly over complicated compared to Jap cars. Ive removed the airbag and steering wheel on both my Nissan 200sx and Mazda 3 and they took 5 mins. On the Golf however, as with so many things on these cars, its a much longer process.

I had to take the steering wheel off my Mk6 GTI a few months ago to replace a faulty ignition switch. I would consider just getting some stick on DSG paddles (which many people use with good feedback) rather than going through the process of removing the wheel and dismantling it just for the DSG shifters.

That's awesome. I'm looking to get one myself. Any tips on how to do it/where to buy the gear?
