Watch out for rubbing on the paint mate

Most of these car bras cause damage over time.

    I know you did.

Now out with the stirring and in with serious. Is it a quick fit/removal bra? And I'm curious about the triangle shaped strips. Are they wind deflectors?

lol... so why do that instead of putting PPF on the bonnet? Considering how little that car bra protects, the equiv fitment of PPF would be rather cheap, and eleventy times less ugly than that (in fact, it would be completely invisible at the distance you took those photos)

Yep takes about 5 mins and has some straps underneath that secure it but it is a snug fit. The triangles are ther I guess to hold it down so it wont flap at speed. Took it for a run this morning and no movement at all very happy with it

    1. this is not permanent and only for my occasional long runs up the coast
    2. The PPF does not clean well, I love working with wax.. the PPF just is dead in my eyes
    3. PPF is very expensive and I checked with Rob this morning when he was tinting my car he rekons it would be $200 easy for the coverage as it is so expensive and it collects dirt all along the edges.. he had it on his car.. not interested and this solution was $55 delivered.
    4. It is not a visual enhancement but that is not it's purpose.. but corey as you have to be right about everything I guess it is ugly

    Hi all,
Went the next step and have gone stage2+, with APR downpope installed two weeks ago.
Thank you James at Harding Performance for fitting me in so quickly (24 hours notice).
Tested it at Morgan Park next day. They have open track days most Wednesdays for practice - $100 for the day. Very cheap.

Real test was last Saturday. Went to Time Attack Sprint day at Lakeside.
On standard street tyres and stock suspension (only DCC) I didn't disgrace myself.
It was a Very wet day, so maybe the tyres helped me? Don't know.

    Best time was 1:12:28.
Had a compliment from a 270kw Evo 10 who stated he couldn't gain ground on me down the straight.
Best time on the day was 1:06? By I forget what.
Interestingly Euro Marque were there with about 10 Ferrari owners. They were the slowest on the day, all in the one min twenties. Pussies.

    Was a really great day.

Anyhow question I have is for those that have had the downpipe down, how much noisier is your engine?

Mine is now VERY loud at high rpm.

Interested to hear about others noise levels.

It is so loud I have to watch out for Coppers when giving it a Fang especially in S.
Golf R MY 11.5 United Gray, 3 door, DSG, ACC, Free MDI, Bluetooth
Mods - APR Downpipe, VW Racing AI, HPFP, APR Tune Stage 2+- lovin it!
Touareg V8 TDI R-Line, White .Arrived 11 July.
