    The problem with them is their shipping costs to Australia.

    Well, forum member Preen59 owns an import company called TPR Engineering and can either bundle the ECS Tuning shipments in with his other imports, or if he gets enough ECS Tuning specific orders, do a full shipment from them.

    I'm getting a new intake for my Golf R soon, so I need to get the Audi TT-S engine cover, two new VAG ball screws and a ball joint (for mounting the cover on my TFSI engine) as well as an Audi R8 Oil Cap.

    If anyone else would like to order stuff from ECS and get Preen59 to ship it out, then please post in his thread or send him a PM.

    Cheers.
    I'm interested in the R8 Oil Cap but was really put off with the shipping price!

    Cap = USD45
    Shipping = USD43
    ???

    Seriously???

    I'm goanna check how much is this one shipped to Melbourne.

    Got a reply back from the seller:
    Total is £21.99 + £9.99 shipping to Melb = £31.98 ~ AUD50.

    Why bother with ECS lol....sorry Corey but ECS is just not worth it.

    Hey mate,

    It's $1095 for Mk6 GTi stage 1.

    Had mine tuned last week & I can't wipe the smile off my face.
    Love it.

    I went straight to stage 2 with downpipe, & boy does the dp make alot of difference.
    Boost kicks on alot earlier, pulls alot harder.

    a) What intake are you getting?

    b) Why do we need the new engine cover?

    c) What is the expected cost of the blall joints/cover etc all delivered?

    Is this needed when you get the STG2 intake, or any intake?

    Thanks

    A) Waiting to see what's happening with Carbonio's "Stage 2" style intake which is pod based, and replaces the full pipe going back to the MAF etc. If it doesn't hurry up, then probably the VF Accessories K04 intake.
    B) Because the stock intake is integrated into the engine cover.
    C) Don't know yet

    It's required for any intake which includes new piping. So the existing APR TFSI intake doesn't require the removal as it only replaces the front section and then attaches to the stock engine cover.

    Didnt know it was integrated. Hadnt looked yet but thats a bit- wierd? More money for mods then, eh?

    On a happier note I installed my OSIR pedal set with just a torx screw driver - looks great although it doesnt sit absolutely perfect when you line it up perfect.. If you line it up a fraction off it sits perfect!

    And I got my boost gauge holder for the vent - just deciding on a)which gauge to get (probably just the Autometer Cobalt series 30PSI (do I need that much or is 20PSI enough for a car up to STG 2+?)) b) Where to get it installed c) mechanical or electrical

    Almost definitely getting mechanical just cause I like the way they behave - does anyone here no how to wire it, have a diagram for the R to give to my mate to install?

    Yeah the MKV engines had the intake integrated too. The Audi S3 as well. Oh well.
