After fitting mine today I found that it will sit under the frame of the screen surround ... Not necessary to trim if your able to 'gently' push the film under the 'rim' ... I had already trimmed mine but I found it was not sticking on a copuple of edges as it was overlapping & not 'touching' the screen.. I just used my finger-nail & ran it round the edges.
I'll buy another one & fit it properly this time ... That is align it covering the screen & or the frame & jiberlate it with my finger nail!!

I like that feature too but on the website, they state that the measured time is 0-60 mph ( which is slightly less than 0-100 kmh ). Even though you can set the unit to read metric for boost, they don't specifically say if the 0-60 can be auto converted to 0-100.
I have sent them an email asking but have not received an answer yet. (0-60 is a bit useless for us here in oz)
Yeah, but it takes its info from the MFD i assume, which converts to klm/h.
???
I mean its digital info , not analogue.
Anyone know?

Hey DAL. I gave the advice to trim the cover after already knowing that the film can be pushed under the rim. In fact, as I play guitar I have a few long nails, and I used my nails to guide it around. BUT, it doesn't go under nicely everywhere. You eventually get to a corner and it just wont cooperate. As I had installed mine the night before getting my car windows tinted, I even had Rob Silva use his tools to attempt to get it flat all the way around, and he wasn't able to (checkout the "best window tint" thread if you don't know how mad his skills are by name).
Unless you're lucky and it cooperates with you, I feel the only way to get it 100% perfect without trimming, would be to take the gloss rim off the RNS510 before attempting to place the film down.
Hi Fab,
What size tyres did you have in mind? I was considering the VMR V713's and this is the reply from the agent...
"For a Golf, you'll need a 225/35/19 tire with a 8.5 +45 offset wheel. Anything wider will cause rubbing issues.
Shipping to Australia is generally around $350-400 for wheels only.
Best regards,

It could be either way. I have had an email back - it is independently configurable for imperial or metric which implies that the feed is from the ECU at a stage where the conversion is in the device - in other words, the MFD has it's own settings and so does the boost display.
The company has told me that in metric mode it does true 0-100. The down side though is it seems that once you set metric, you also get boost in "Bar". if you want boost in psi then you need to set imperial mode, which then means acceleration is 0-60 mph.
I think I will splurge out and buy one - I think it looks far more integrated than any gauge style. Ideally I would prefer a gauge but everything I have seen looks "tacked on" - even the "in vent" ones.
is it also changeable from Fahrenheit to Celsius?
