Pedals fitted:
My clutch pedal is higher than my brake one for some reason, and due to the height, a pain to simply pop across from the dead pedal, not sure why they have it so high, might ask VW for my first "checkup" service (2500km or whatever was suggested) if it can be adjusted down a bit (I am sure it can, but perhaps the loss of pedal throw will mean crunched gears which wouldn't be so good!)

^^ my clutch pedal also sits a little bit higher than the brake pedal. I remember noticing that in the first few days I had the car. You get used to it.

Fitted a RVC today:
Now to program it... thinking of showing up to a Sydney dyno day next weekend, hopefully somewhere there will have vag-com, also ordering a cheapy cable and see if the lite version of vag-com/vcds will let me do what I need, not holding my breath.

VW Rear Emblem Camera KIT - Retrofit - Golf 6
Was $500au hit on my account (just checked now), not too bad. Biggest issue was trying to pop all those silly panels off, those clips are tough and a bit fragile! Used some of this guide here: DIY Rear View Camera (RVC) installation on Golf "R". [Archive] - VWGolf.net.au - Australian VW Golf Forum (pdf downloadable from 4shared, I had to google the filename to find the real URL as it is wrong in that forum http://www.4shared.com/office/Qy85BZ...ear_View_.html ), however I didn't pull all my fuses out, nor pulled the cables from my RNS, so no fault codes. It is strange that this thing needs power in order for you to even open your boot lid! I had to use the little white plastic safety latch to open the boot a couple of times, I would have thought that the actual act of manually lifting the handle would simply be a switch like the original latch, but it actually requires power.
Regards
