    The problem with the Scirocco is it's FWD. Axle tramp is a b1tch if you have a heavy foot.

    apparently the Scirocco is going through a refit in 2012, i have a weird feeling they will make it an MR (Mid engine, rear powered).

    Neither is ideal. One is more nimble and FWD, the other is AWD and too linear as well as adding more weight.

    Can't win.

    Pretty unlikely given the history and its' marketing/packaging/engineering/manufacturing platform IMO.

    I did see an article about a Blue-ray? Mid engine RWD diesel sports convertible, kind of eco VW Boxster over a year ago.
