VW Scirocco for Australia. Any Golf R buyers thinking of swapping?

if we are looking at the rocco R vs the golf R, i believe it is the golf that is actually slower by just over a second. just a more accurate apples for apples comparison.

Actually it depends on the track, the GOLF R here IS 7 secs faster than the scirocco R on a bigger track.

on every other track it's been tested on, the R is inferior to the 'rocco.

p.s. if you want apples for apples, the apples are that the nihonjin F1 drivers were gobsmacked that the scirocco was so fast IN SPITE of being an fwd car, the sti had braking issues, the evox had slight out-of-corner understeer, and who gives a rats ass about a honda civic that thinks it can rev to 9,500rpm...

Both great cars, Golf R has rear doors on offer should you require them, Rocco is a bit more stylish, VW sure know how to capture the market!

True track cars have engines in the middle, so let's not split hairs over these two wonderful hatchbacks. Again VW offer something for everyone.

My 2c. I think the Golf R actually looks better than the Sirocco. The front of the Sirrocco is great. The back is very awkward. Almost verging on the same awkardness as the last gen Renault Megane.
