VW Golf TDI 1.6 fuel priming

Hi, New to the forum here, and thanks for the wealth of knowledge.

I've replaced the fuel filter in my daughters 1.6tdi and tried to start to no avail, was running previously.

I don't have vcds to prime the pumps, so i removed the rear seat and primed the tank pump, but cant find a pump near the engine other than the HPFP? Is there no auxiliary pump on a tdi? I've seen them on the 2.0TDI, but cant find one on this car?

Am I missing something or doing something wrong? I primed the pump multiple times as well and still wont start?

Any suggestions or remarks on what I'm doing wrong please?

    Car is a 2010 1.6 TDi Trendline

You only need to fill the filter canister with diesel before reassembly. I have changed my filter 3 times and never had an issue using this method. The last time I used Liqui Moly diesel purge instead of fuel to fill the canister. No bleeding necessary.
