    Dear Guy,

    Congratulations once again for being chosen to attend the exclusive Golf GTI Advanced Driving Academy Track Day in Sydney. This email is to confirm the final details you will need to prepare for the day.


    Track Day Address and Time Details

    Time: 11:10 AM
    Date: Tuesday 3rd November Melbourne Cup Day
    Address: Gate 7, Eastern Creek International Raceway. At the intersection of Brabham Drive and Ferrers Road, Eastern Creek
    Eastern Creek Raceway

    Directions:

    Travelling from the city: Approach the M4 Motorway, take the Reservoir Road exit to the Great Western Highway, turn left onto the Great Western Highway, then left onto Bradham Drive.

    Travelling from west of Blacktown: Approach the M4 Motorway, take the Wallgrove Road exit, turn left onto Wallgrove Road, turn right onto the Great Western Highway, turn right into Bradham Drive

    Duration: The Track Day event itself should take about 3 hours. Food and drink will be provided.

    What you will need to bring

    A copy of this email to present at the gate on arrival
    Your valid and current, Australian driver's license. This will be checked when you sign your participation forms.
    Sensible clothes - due to safety requirements, we recommend you wear jeans/long pants, closed toe shoes or joggers. No thongs or heels.
    Extra sun/weather protection or wet weather gear - bringing a cap, sunglasses, sunscreen and a jacket will help. It's also a good idea to check forecast before you come.


    Other important information

    Your participation at the Track Day is not transferable to a friend or family member and your date and time is unable to be changed. We will not be able to accommodate any friends or family members, even as spectators, so please come alone. There will be a strictly zero tolerance on alcohol so please do not consume any alcohol in the 12 hour period prior to the track day.

    Well that was a bit of fun. The cars will need a new set of tyres by the end of the day. Another run on the skid pan would have been nice. Overall, not a bad way to waste a couple of hours.

    Yep, have to say the
    XDS effect is barely noticeable over mk 5 gti, just shows how good mk5 gti is still.

    I agree the Mk5 is very, very good. But I noticed a marked difference with the Mk6. I found it was more surefooted and more responsive.

    Yes, it was more surefooted but only if you push it to extremes (when you could feel the XDL kick in). I doubt that the majority of GTI owners would do that on a daily basis. The MkV wasn't shamed by the MkVI on the skidpan IMO.

    Yes, but only on the skidpan.

    After seeing one with 17's at the dyno day i am VERY impressed in the difference the 18's appear to make in your pictures. Look great.
