Those Xenon's with LED's im guessing will look the same as the Polo GTI or Touareg LED offerings. Images will be great.

Now with the strong aussie dollar... can we import these parts and have them fitted and also meeting Australian Design Rules for a reasonable price? If so, I can see a heap of people on here ordering them and having them fitted like the LED brake lights.

    Thanks for the update Maverick!

Just in case no-one has picked up on this but these changes didn't come in at the beginning of MY11 and all of us with cars on boats at the moment will skip these changes. Most kicked in at calendar week 45 which is approx anything built from beginning of November.

Ok, so my Golf R is scheduled to be built in week 51 of this year, so is it likely to have any of these (non-optional) updates? eg the new xenon headlights as standard?

    That's a good question!

Based on the information, which is now well documented on Maverick's site, the two changes which would apply to the Golf R are:
New mute function for acoustic parking sensor warning in OPS and/or RVC display
Change of air conditioning rotary dials from chrome to matt black.

The new Xenon lights with integrated LED's are specifically listed as applicable to Golf GTD & GTI.

Plus I only just noticed this myself but it says

"There is no change to the Golf R configuration of Bi-Xenon headlights with bumper mounted LED daytime driving lights"

I've done a big cleanup of this thread.

This thread is as close as you can get to an "official" VW list of changes for MY11.5
Since Volkswagen don't actually post the information, you have to make do with getting it from resourceful members like Maverick. This is not a place for speculation, rumours, conjection, or posting random internet comic strips.

Keep it on topic or face minor infractions for wasting moderator's time having to clean up the thread...
