My 2010 is roughly the same price as 3 R32s on the web. All are older than mine and out of warranty. I'm tempted. Should I?

but.....why would you ? no one trades in a car on a older car lol
How about wait and see what the new mk7 brings
I understand.
The R32 is a pretty special Golf. They are NOT anywhere near as good to drive as a GTI though. The Haldex version in the R32, even with updates, is nowhere near as good as what comes standard in the Mk6 R. They are a lead tipped arrow which needs alot of money to really get any faster...but who cares, they sound awesome.
But believe me, they're not worth $30,000.
Something you will notice is that thanks to the high prices people are not actually buying them.
High 20's for a low KM late model R32 tops. Any more is dreaming, but power to those advertising them and able to find someone to pay it.

High 20s was my budget considering I would be going from a car with warranty and an option to extend. Haldex?

That hurts.
I can understand why you would want to get a r32, I was after on when getting my gti. However, other than the amazing sound of the v6, I don't think a trade down on one is a good idea. You will get an older model with less features, and the interior would be a big step down over a mk6gti also.
But it's ultimately up to u, not what others think.
